2020 Pandemic Remembrance WindChimes

Whether they hang indoors or out in the garden, 

W I N D  C H I M E S

are a constant reminder of the event they commemorate.

The two above are made with 400 C-lon slip stitch crochet 

with Emily Cohen's hand cut and tumbled coke bottle

rings and cultured sea glass shards interspersed with

Bon trade beads and my handmade clay beads.

All of this series includes Emily's coke bottle rings

- it's the real thing -

with hand dug bamboo-root top supports.

Various glass and clay components are copper wired

in place to form very durable garden wind chimes.

They all also have the addition of small copper bells

in their strands for that subtle tingle...

This last windchime has the addition of tube beads 

made from the bamboo which grows here in

Hanselwoods. 

This 5-strand chime is hand strung on

waxed linen...

The Moon & Stars on a Hooker's Green Sky Components

Ba-Be Girl Rattle

Ba-be Girl is a Celebration pillow rattle which can

hang on the wall or lay on a table or desk.

 She has a found wood handle and bead accents of clay,

African trades, horn discs and seed beads.

The rattle itself is 3" high  by 4" wide by 1.75" deep;

With the handles and strung accent beads

she is 4.75" wide and 9.75 high.

She is not just a "pretty face," the other side of her

boasts polks dots and green leaves...

This hand-formed CAT FACE RATTLE is all the 

encouragement anyone needs to abandon boring, habitual 

routines. The energy of the Cat supports flexibility 

to change and more open, honest thinking -

 remember Cats more than any other domesticated animal 

are known for their resourcefulness! 

 The aloofness of the Cat translates 

to a powerful warning - the best way to deal with 

difficult situations  is to step back from them 

and gain insight from the distancing.

Rousseau Peaceable Kingdom CAT RATTLE with Clay Yarn Ball

This colorfully painted 3.25" high cat rattle

started life as an earthenware pinch pot...

Once bisque fired, he was painted with underglazes

and accented with Designer Liner Underglaze Pens...

His yarn ball was made from earthenware 

clay extrusions dipped in red terra sigillata prior to firing.

Since he is residing in the garden of the Peaceable

Kingdom, he is surrounded by myriads of plants...

Both front and back...

He is only 3" wide by 2.50" deep by 3.25" tall

and quietly rattles when shaken...
