A Wrinkle in Time Necklace (and Earrings)

Upcycled mid-century watch faces back to back are
slip stitched together with 400 C-lon cord
interspersed with hollow pressed brass beads...

A handmade ceramic clay button closure...

With an accompanying pair of earrings -
lightweight statements for these heavy times...

Tis the Season for Wasser Wearing

Just when I thought I'd never again see the magnificent
array of Wasser glass patterned colors, a package
arrives from my dear friend Emily with some
breathtaking Wasser Glass shards...

All the more reason to plan to reverse your earrings
for wearing either way!

Semi-precious Jasper ovals are the perfect complement
to many of the speckled, colorful surfaces...

And seem to work as accents for either side.

New for me, this copper wire swing (with a twist)
which holds an oval stone under the Wasser shapes...

And just when you thought it couldn't get better,
the other side astounds!

I call this pair Spotted Cat and you can see why; it
seems to be all set to jump through the cultured sea glass
black loops underneath...

Then the reverse of spotted cat with the missing
spots...and missing cat, replaced by red & green
strokes against a black ground -
Oh what fun!

E A R R I N G S

So I found some cultured beach glass
components I really like and had
to use them in some earrings...

In the two pairs above I used the Fish bones
in black and "Coke Bottle aqua" as well as
the aqua sea turtles.

The enameled shells (finished on both sides)
are from Gardanne and are accented
by copper fish skeleton connectors...

Last but not least are two more
hand cut contorted hearts in marigold
glass accented by Wasser mottled
top squares and drops...from Emily
Cohen, naturally!

Pierced Wasser & Clay Earrings

Vibrant teal Wasser glass rectangles suspended from
copper hangers and accented with textured clay discs.

Charcoal pierced Wasser glass, blackened steel
and hand painted spirit hole discs

Irregular pierced pieces of Indigo Wasser hoover over
hooped Egyptian earthenware scarabs...

Taupe Window Wasser glass pieces, fancy bails,
textured stained clay ovals & pink Wasser
stalactite hangies...

Pierced grey Wasser triangles show off a pair of
hand painted spirit hole stoneware discs...

Melon Wasser squares married to hand painted
scroddled spirit hole discs.

A Past Earring Style Revisited...

The simplicity of Wasser glass shapes placed
over each other,

 hovering colorfully above delicate
textured stoneware discs or spirit holes...

All of which
become animated by the wearer...

Not to mention
the statement made in the wearing.
